Mr Darcey's Knitting Circle
The knitting group is growing steadily
and we have recently moved from the village hall
to the beautiful setting of Heather's Farm
and the Cool Contours studio -
......huge windows,
lots of light and views to die for!!
We meet on the first and third Wednesday's
of the month from 10.00am -1.00pm
and we welcome knitter's (and crocheters)
of all abilities and ages!
Lots of tea, coffee, biscuits and cake
(Heather's home made muffins sometimes!!)
and plenty of chat and help!
Although we have a band of regular stalwarts
who join us every week, come along
whenever you can make it
- we warmly welcome visitors to the area
who are in need of a little bit of knitty sustenance!
(In case you are wondering.... these are
Jo's Giant Knitting needles...
[the yarn is blankets cut into strips]
.....great for building up the arm muscles!!)
If you would like to go on our email list
then do get in touch (mrdarceyscottage@btinternet.com)
I usually e mail at the beginning of the week,
in case anyone needs me to bring along
anything particular.
I have a huge collection of vintage patterns
and pattern books for browsing -
just let me know what you might want
for your next project !!
I have Artesano Alpaca in DK and 4ply,
Manos Del Uruguay (Fair Trade!)
in the silk blend and pure wool,
UK Alapaca yarn DK
(which we are using in
our mystery blanket project)
A small selection of sock yarns
and other yarns at cut prices (mill ends etc).
I can also source and order many yarns for you.
I have Brittany Birch Needles and Crochet hooks,
and a selection of circular needles , pins,
stitch holders and buttons.
I have just had made, some beautiful,
large tote bags
which are great for carrying round
all the knitting projects!
AND Knitting Circle members get a
10% discount on everything they buy!
(Hopefully many of these yarns, needles etc
will be available to buy online
in the very near future!
Keep checking back here!)
