My main news for last month is not knitting
related at all, but as a proud mummy,
I just had to mention Number 2 son's Graduation -
a glorious day at UEA!!
I then sneaked off to Suffolk
for a couple of days with an old college friend
- the villages in her area are so pretty
and how about this as your village hall?
Cool Contours (our new local arts centre ) had
a very successful launch, a couple of weeks ago
and if you are interested in booking
any of the courses we have lined up
then do have a look at the
Workshops and Courses section
in the menu to the right.
~starting with easy projects for beginner's
and moving on to cables and
knitting in the round,
with Freeform available in January
for the more adventurous among you.
Knit Today and Let's Get Crafting
are both featuring the up and coming
knitting courses and they are also listed
in the events on the
UK Handknitting Association website.
If you have already received
the latest Rowan magazine ~
take a look at the 2 projects
which I knitted up for the magazine,
Benbecula on page 14 and 15 and
Wentworth, a Kaffe Fassett design
in kid silk haze (which took quite a while
to knit, with all the colour changes
but it was well worth it! )
