What a joy to see the first snowdrops...

and to have the first jug of daffodils on the

kitchen table........

The coldest winter in thirty years, I hear

and although the sun is shining today,

it seems that we are set to have more cold weather

before long so now is the time to treat yourself

to a scarf or shawl to take you through

these unpredictable spring days.

Take a look at Mr Darcey's accessories for :

* bright and cheery silk cowls -

light but cosy and in delicious colours!

 * the Burberry inspired Chunky Cabled Cowl.

*Manos silk blend scarves

* lightweight shawls

-drape them round your shoulders

or bunch them up into a scarf.

*fingerless mitts or wristwarmers -

 trendy yet practical and

we have them in Manos silk blend

 or super soft alpaca.

*felted cloche hats in Shetland yarn or alpaca yarn

 - cosy but chic (ideal for those poor rugby mums

who (like me in the past) religiously turn up every

Wednesday afternoon to freeze on the touchline!)

* pretty lacey cloche hats in lightweight alpaca

After a recent editorial in our local newspaper,

Mr Darcey's Knitting Circle is set to welcome

 several new members to

our Wednesday morning group.

Click on 'Mr Darcey's Knitting Circle'

in the menu for full details of time and venue.

There has also been some interest in starting

an evening group for people who work full time

and are not able to come along on Wednesday

mornings - so watch this space for further details!

Events still to come this month :

Stamford High School on Saturday 20th March
